Some Things ahead for 2012 for ‘Cliff… As If’

Hey, it is so fantastic that you have looked in today. I just wanted to share a few things that are coming up in this new year so that you can get a taste of all the exciting activities that are coming my way.

To begin with I thought I’d tell you about a music and lookalike event that I’ll be involved in at the beginning of March where I’ll be on a Route Master double decker red London bus, doing the sights and singing to passengers - and Summer Holiday will be one of the songs of course. Then there are the shows with a couple of Shadows tribute bands coming up. Last year I teamed up with The Knight Shadows and also the Shaduows, so this year we are doing several events together and I am very excited about that. There are two trips to Spain booked in for two weeks in April and September as I take my ‘Cliff…As If’ show to ex pats and holiday makers on the Costas. I am really looking forward to the ‘It’s A Boy’ Christmas tour with my good friend and inspiration Simon Goodall. The tour runs from mid November to the end of the year and it is going to be fantastic!

These are just some of the events that I am involved with, oh and there is the very small matter of my 50th Birthday in June. I was aksed if I would like to have a party but I opted for what I love doing best and it is a gig, so that night I’ll be with the Knight Shadows doing a Queen’s Jubilee show for Keighley Borough Council in West Yorkshire.

This collaboration between two of the very best Cliff Richard tribute acts promises to be a memorable event. It will certainly be full of variety and amazing music along with all the fun of the Cliff’…As If show.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012 FROM ‘CLIFF…AS IF’

A very Happy New year to you from me and all those connected to ‘Cliff…As If’. I would like to thank everyone for the great support and encouragement this act received during 2011 and now I am really looking forward to all that is in store for 2012. There is so much to look forward to and already every weekend date in January and February are booked up. Here are just a few of the highlights for this year:

* At least two trips to Spain for tours of the Costas, the first being in April.

* At least three shows with Shadows Tribute bands including a massive event in front of thousands on the Queens Jubilee 2nd June in West Yorkshire.

* A Christmas Popspel tour with my good friend and fellow Cliff Tribute Simon Goodall.

* A host of ‘Cliffagrams’ throughout the year.

These things are already booked in and there are plenty more to come, so as you can see I’ll be having fun being busy doing what I like best. The ‘Cliff…As If’ show has come a long way since it began in 2007 but none of this would have been possible without the support of many people and also the tireless work of one or two very special people behind the scenes.

May 2012 be all that you desire it to be, and may you experience the blessings of God above all.

‘IT’S A BOY’ CHRISTMAS TOUR 2012

Here is some exciting news for all Cliff fans and churches that run outreach events. After a successful season of Cliff…As If Christmas pop-gospel shows, which in part included Simon Goodall, it has been decided that in 2012 the Christmas pop-gospel shows will be a joint venture between Will Chandler (Cliff…As If) and Simon Goodall (the Voice of Cliff) and it will be called The ‘It’s A Boy’ tour after Simon’s own well known and amazing Christmas song, which Cliff Richard released back in 2003 as a part of his Santa’s List CD.

Publicity will be available soon for church groups but if you want any information immediately then please send us a message here at ‘Cliff…As If’ on the contact page.

Simon and Will are both very excited about this project and it is hoped that as many churches as possible will book early as it will be very popular.

The Christmas season of 2011 is upon us and as usual I have been enjoying the many performances that have come my way during the advent season. In the first week of December I clocked up over three thousand miles travelling to venues to perform the musical and fun ‘Cliff…As If’ Christmas shows. There are more plenty to do before this year is finished. It is always such a joy to take the variety of the Cliff…As If show for people to enjoy but at Christmas there is always that extra special feeling and excitement. I was sorry that we had to turn down some bookings for this year that came in a little bit too late, but overjoyed to learn that some of those had already booked for Christmas 2012.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere wishes that you would have a happy Christmas and through it all you may experience the true meaning of it all.

‘Cliff…As If’

Cliff…As If is going back to Spain in 2012

Hey, thank you for looking in today for the latest news.

Before I tell you the news about my tour in Spain in 2012 I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who sent me ‘get well’ messages after my recent operation. I am now fuly recovered and raring to go through the Christmas rush. There are many events booked for the coming advent season but room to book a few more in.

I have two tours of the Costa Blanca lined up for 2012. The first will be in April and the second in September. All the dates and venues will be posted on this blog very soon once I have the venue contact details. What I can tell you for now is that I’ll be returning with Jukebox Legends to the Lounge Bar in Torrevieja on Friday 20th April, a place that we really enjoyed last September.

MEN Arena 17th October 2011

Hey friends,
As you may know, Sir Cliff Richard is performing his ‘Soulicious’ tour show at the MEN Arena in Manchester on Monday 17th October 2011, and there are two things we at ‘Cliff…As If‘ are doing in the same week to celebrate this event. I’ll be apprearing outside and inside the MEN for PR and photos, and then the following Friday 21st there will be a ‘Cliff…As If‘ show at the Fairfield Arms, 92 Manchester Road,

Christmas bookings for 2011.

The Christmas bookings are coming in thick and fast now that the summer season is over. It seems that people have plans for the festive season high on their agendas. With that in mind I would like to take this opportunity to ask you to contact us here at ‘Cliff As If’ as soon as possible if you wish to have us providing your Christmas entertainment. We do not want to have a repeat of last year when unfortunately many missed out by leaving it until the last minute to book.

You can be guaranteed a Christmas show to remember with lots of festive fun along with the good old great Christmas Cliff songs such as Missletoe and Wine.

Success on the Costa Blanca!

I am pleased to announce that the mini tour of the Costa Blanca with the Cliff and Elvis 2000 tribute show was a rip roaring succcess, each venue was sold out and full to bursting, which along with the spotlights made things pretty hot on stage. The audiences loved the great music and the standing ovations after every show were a testament to what we achieved.

A big thanks to Peter and Fiona from Jukebox Legends for their hard work and dedication in enabling this all to take place, and their more than able helpers Carol and Colin who worked like trojans. Also to Peter for being a great Elvis. The Cliff versus Elvis banter was hilarious (:

We have been booked to do it all again next year but this time there are at least 8 venues. The show may even appear in the UK in January 2012 so look out for news about this and other Cliff…As If events here on the blog page as well as Facebook.
